Cat Escape is a casual escape game with hide-and-seek, maze runner, rescue and pet ownership elements. The player attempts to help an adorable cat stealthily sneak into and out of structures.
On each level, the cat waits outside of an office, museum or other building or in a hallway or room. Guards with long-handled catch nets either snooze in place or walk around shining red lights. The player must evaluate a situation and then direct the cat through the maze and out an exit.
Some mazes have rooms that feature doorless block walls and electrified or rope barriers. The player directs the cat to eat wall-breaking superfood and step on buttons that activate and deactivate barriers. If they time an activation perfectly, they can even eliminate guards with electrified barriers.
Cat Rescue allows the player to buy or win new skins and running trails and care for rescued pets. The player unlocks upgrades when they complete a preset number of levels, reach a specific level, and open mystery gift boxes. They acquire rainbow, bat, snowflake, candy, flower and other trails by directing the cat to collect stars.
