Forest Glade Mysteries is a match-3 puzzle game. The player matches cute, colorful animals to complete tasks while they travel through seasonal forests in search of ancient secrets. They also collect as many points, stars and hearts as possible. The latter gives them access to locked levels.
The game provides the player with access to checkerboards across levels via a winding path through the forests. Each board displays a mix of animals that includes blue owls, green bunnies, red bears and yellow birds. The game permits only a limited number of moves, as shown in the upper-left area above the star progress bar.
The player removes animals from a board in various ways. They primarily form line sets of three or more matching animals. With four or more, they create special animals that glow and remove entire columns and rows. In the upper-right area above a board, the game even provides them with three helpful boosters that include a hammer that removes one animal at a time, a star wand that creates an explosive animal, and a rainbow flower that removes all of the same ones based on color and species.
Forest Glade Mysteries offers countless hours of fun challenges. For example, the player might need to remove ice or boxes from a board, collect sleepy koalas, or perform actions that make squares of grass to spread across an area.
