Pool Merge is a merge game with a pocket billiards theme that combines elements from 2048 and Suika games. The player's primary goal is to merge pairs of matching balls to create the next-highest-number ones that fill spaces on an evolution bar.
The game features Classic and Arcade modes. With the Classic mode, the player must complete their goal without running out of moves. They earn additional moves with each match. If they allow a specific number of balls to rest on the table at any given time, they enter a sudden death round. With Arcade, the player attempts to reach the goal before time runs out. They gain time with every match. They lose seconds on a clock when a ball drops into a pocket. In both modes, they can continue a lost game just once by viewing ads.
The player performs matches by shooting lower-center balls from a tunnel shooter at other balls. Each merge creates a new ball that equals the next-highest number. For example, two 1 balls form a 2 ball. The player receives a shadow of a pool stick and cue ball to guide each shot. That said, the shadow doesn't bounce off the sidewalls, which means the player must guess the angles when performing wall shots.
Pool Merge rewards the player with points in the upper-left area. If the player knocks together three balls with numbers that equal six, they receive combo points. If they're willing to watch advertisements, they also receive booster balls that include a fireball that explodes on contact and a multiplier ball that increases the number of a hit ball.
Eventually, the player can unlock new ball and table styles in the game's shop based on 2048, sport, fruit, and cake designs. If they have an account, they can also review their ratings.
